No two students are stuck for the same reason. One is losing points to the clock. One is guessing on the reading and calling it a hunch. One knows the math cold and freezes the second a question looks unfamiliar.

On the questions that decide a score, the point goes to the clock, or to a wrong answer built from the student's own half-finished work, or to a choice that's completely true and answers a question nobody asked. That's not a knowledge problem. That's recognition, and it's exactly what gets trained here.

So nothing at Score Samurai is one size fits all. Every student begins with a real diagnosis, and the entire program is built from it: the content they actually need, the shortcuts most students never learn, the calculator strategy the test hands every student and almost none of them use, and the habits that hold when the clock is running and it counts.

Some students arrive needing 300 points. Some arrive strong, chasing the last 100, which are the hardest points on the test. The method holds at both ends, because the traps are the same, only the costumes change. Every student gets a custom-built curriculum. Not a workbook, not a course, not a syllabus written before anyone looked at the scores. The Dojo Diagnostic maps the specific patterns costing points, and every session is built from that map. The map itself was built the hard way: 1,168 real SAT questions catalogued one at a time, until the traps had nowhere left to hide. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how it is handled.WHAT WE COLLECTWhen you complete our sign-up form, we collect: student and parent names, email addresses, a phone number, the student's current grade and school, recent and target SAT scores, target test date, target colleges, and information you choose to share about the student's SAT preparation. When you book a Dojo Diagnostic call, we collect your name, email, and the answers you provide when scheduling. During tutoring, we keep session notes recording topics covered and progress made. Our website collects standard technical information such as IP address and browser type through ordinary web server logs.INFORMATION ABOUT STUDENTS UNDER 18Our services are purchased by parents and guardians for students who are typically under 18. Sign-ups are intended to be completed by a parent or guardian. We collect only the information needed to deliver tutoring, and we do not knowingly collect information from a child under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

HOW WE USE ITWe use this information to prepare a diagnostic and personalized plan, schedule and deliver sessions, send weekly progress updates to parents, issue invoices, and communicate about services. We do not use it for any other purpose.WHO WE SHARE IT WITHWe do not sell personal information. We do not share it for advertising. We use trusted service providers to run the business, and information is shared with them only as needed to deliver our services: TutorBird for client management, scheduling, and invoicing; Stripe for payment processing; Zoom for sessions; Calendly for booking; Google Workspace for email, documents, and calendars. We also use Anthropic's Claude, an AI assistant, to help prepare diagnostic briefs, session plans, and progress updates from the information you provide; it is bound by the same service-provider role. Our sign-up form uses Google reCAPTCHA to prevent spam. Each maintains its own privacy practices. Payment card details are handled by Stripe and are never stored by us. We may disclose information if required by law.

HOW LONG WE KEEP ITWe retain client records for as long as needed to provide services and to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations. You may request deletion of your information at any time, subject to those obligations.SECURITYAccess to client information is limited to Sensei Jay, who delivers all tutoring personally. Accounts are protected by passwords and, where available, two-factor authentication.
